Safe & supervised
Parents trust us with their children, and we take that seriously. Every youth session is led by responsible adults and follows a clear structure.
What it means at Malmö Kings
Safety is built into how we train: softer balls for beginners, helmets when facing hard balls, proper warm-ups and sensible session lengths. Our Youth Lead oversees the program and safeguarding. Parents are always welcome to watch training and talk to the coaches.
Safe & supervised at Malmö Kings
How a youth session is organised
Every youth session has a clear structure: a warm-up, skills practice in small groups, a game and a short cool-down. Groups are kept to a size that the leaders can supervise, and activities are matched to the age and experience of the players.
Parents are always welcome to stay and watch.
Protective equipment and the right ball
Beginners and younger children train with softer balls. When players move on to the hard cricket ball, helmets, pads and gloves are worn when batting and keeping wicket.
The club has equipment that beginners can borrow, so safety never depends on whether a family has bought its own kit.
Safeguarding and communication
Our Youth Lead on the board oversees the youth program and safeguarding. At registration we collect emergency contacts and any medical information parents want us to know.
If something worries you, as a parent or as a player, you can always contact the club. We will listen and act.
Common questions
Who leads the youth sessions?
Youth sessions are led by adult leaders from the club, and the youth program is overseen by Hussain Cheema, our Youth Lead and a member of the board.
Does my child need a helmet?
Yes, when batting or keeping wicket against a hard ball. Beginners who train with softer balls do not need one at the start. Club helmets are available to borrow.
Can parents watch training?
Yes. Parents are always welcome to watch training and talk to the coaches before or after the session.
