Coach & volunteer
A non-profit club runs on volunteers. Parents, supporters and players all help run Malmö Kings.
What it means at Malmö Kings
You do not need cricket experience to volunteer, just time and enthusiasm. Volunteering is a great way to meet people, give back to the community and be part of something meaningful.
Coach & volunteer at Malmö Kings
Why volunteers matter
Like most Swedish sports clubs, Malmö Kings is run by volunteers. Coaches, scorers, umpires, match organisers and board members give their time so that children and adults can play.
Without volunteers there would be no training, no matches and no events.
Ways to help
You can assist coaches at youth sessions, learn to score or umpire, help prepare the ground and equipment on match days, organise events and tournaments, take photos for social media or support the board with administration and sponsorship.
Even a few hours during the season make a difference.
What you get back
Volunteering is a great way to meet people, practise Swedish, build your network in Malmö and gain experience that looks good on a CV.
And the best reward is often seeing young players grow in skill and confidence.
Common questions
Do I need cricket experience to volunteer?
No. Many tasks need no cricket knowledge at all, such as helping at events, with communication or with administration. For coaching, scoring and umpiring, we help you learn.
How much time do I need to give?
As much or as little as suits you. Some volunteers help every week, others at a few match days or events each season.
How do I sign up?
Use the contact form and choose Volunteering as the topic, or email info@malmokings.cc. Tell us what you would like to do and when you are available.
